Name

As promised, here's the ceramic with my "name" in kanji; the first one, hei, means 'fat,' or 'peaceful.'  The second, sa, means 'assistance.'  The third, mu, means 'dream.'  Thanks, Dr. Minamimagari!  Also, congratulations on his son getting into Saga Medical School!

Also, Andy had a fun (thrilling?) night at his house last night.  There was frumbling (not pictured).

And, I showed the music video to "They Dance Alone," by Sting, in my Eikaiwa (conversation) class on Thursday.  It's a really compelling appeal for los desaparecidos (the victims of Pinochet in Chile, abducted and imprisoned or tortured to death) from 1988.  I've embedded a Youtube video of a fun live version from Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday, but the original music video is fantastic, too.  I first heard the song on a car ride with Sabrina and her dad up to their cabin in Maine, maybe two years ago.  I haven't heard it since but it just came to me.  Strange how the mind works!
