Kushima

Shibushi Bay. La Baie de Shibushi.

Here's a few pictures I snagged on a day trip I took to the border with the neighboring prefecture, Miyazaki, on the bike my boss lent me. (He reads this blog--thanks, Kacho!) I essentially followed the coast around Shibushi Bay for about 15 miles--the weather was fantastic for so late in the year.

Quelques photo que j'ai prises lors d'une excursion à vélo jusqu'à la frontière avec la préfecture avoisinante, Miyazaki. (Mon boss, qui lit ce blog, m'a prêté le vélo--merci, Kacho !) J'ai suivi la côte autour de la Baie de Shibushi--il faisait vraiment un beau soleil !

Hami (波見), a sleepy fishing town. Hami, une petite ville de pêche endormie.

A beach apparently popular among surfers in warmer months. Une plage fréquentée par les surfers par temps meilleur.

Every once in a while I'll see a tropical-looking plant like this (Kagoshima is at the same latitude as Savannah, GA). De temps en temps je vois une plante qui a l'air presque tropicale (Kagoshima est à la même latitude que le sud de la Tunisie).
Vaguely disagreeable concrete forms (likely for disposal in the bay). Des objets de béton un peu désagréables (probablement à jeter dans la baie).

What was it before? Et précédemment c'était quoi? (L'anglais signifie "maintenant un lieu.")

Kojima Island is apparently famous for its monkeys! L'île serait connue pour ses singes !
