I think that if I could, I would just learn languages all day. I'm on a Xhosa kick at the moment. Call me a reverse-exoticist, but I especially like watching Americans (and especially ones with Southern accents) speak this incredible language. Knowing Arabic (to some extent), it's rare to come across a language with even weirder phonology.
Also, a random clip from a Japanese TV show I was watching--weird premise, but essentially these women go back and forth saying words that begin with the same syllable, then one of them loses and has to strike a pose and say something bookish, and they switch an article of clothing.
Encore de xhosa ! Je le trouve très beau comme langue. Puisque l'arabe contient déjà des sons plutôt rares parmi les langues du monde, entendre des sons encore plus méconnus est fascinant, n'est-ce pas ?
En suite, un clip d'une émission sur la télé japonaise, qui se vante parfois d'être totalement absurde. . .
