Guaraná

If I had a cat, I think I would have to name him Guaraná. Si j'avais un chat, je le nommerai Guaraná, boisson gazeuse brasilienne extrêmement caféinée.

We're in Toyama crashing at my friend Haruko's, who's been fantastic to us. ("We" being Gabe, the other English teacher in my town, and me.) Fukuno, where she lives, is a nice, quiet neighborhood. We took the train today to a fantastic Brazilian restaurant. The fusion Brazilian-Japanese buffet was seriously tasty, and I had guaraná for the first time in a months!

Osaka on Halloween was a lot of fun (we stayed at a capsule hotel and watched some crazy costumes), and it's been fantastic seeing Haruko again here. Tomorrow, we arrive in Obama . . . can't wait!

This is mostly for Nathan. Theremins are the future.

Gabe, l'autre prof d'anglais dans ma ville qui m'accompagne, et moi, on est actuellement en Toyama, dans le nord du Japon. On rend visite à mon amie de la fac, Haruko, qui nous a acceuillis très généreusement pendant deux jours. Le quartier qu'elle habite, Fukuno, est bien tranquille mais charmant. Aujourd'hui, on a tous pris le train pour déjeuner dans un restaurant brasilien, dont les plats brasilo-japonais étaient délicieux. Ça faisait si longtemps que je n'avais pas bû guaraná!

On était à Osaka pour Halloween--voir tous les costumes des japonais et les étrangers qui se promenaient était trop marrant. Demain, on arrive à Obama enfin!
