Requests

One of my classes was learning the construction ask (someone) to (do something), and so I thought I would spice up the lesson by bringing in pictures of famous people or characters for the kids to use in making sentences (e.g., "Hello Kitty asked me to bail out the irresponsible lender."). To do this, I went on Google and found pictures of people pointing. Among them were Kosuke Kitajima (北島康介), the winner of the men's 100-meter and 200-meter breaststroke at Beijing (and at Athens before that):

Also, Batman.

And, as a way to incorporate current events, I chose a current U.S. presidential candidate (at random), yielding the little civics lesson in number 3:

Obama also asks me to believe in the power of ordinary people to change government.

Also note how I promote good nutrition in number 2, and good hygiene in number 5.

Une de mes classes apprenait la construction "ask (quelqu'un) to do (quelque chose)"--demander à q.q. de faire q.ch. Pour rendre la leçon un peu plus intéressante, j'ai amené avec moi des photos de personnages célèbres (e.g., "Astérix m'a demandé de stabiliser le système financier."). Parmi les photos que j'ai trouvées sont celles de Kosuke Kitajima, nageur japonais qui a battu le record du monde au 100 m brasse, et Batman. J'ai même réussi à incorporer Barack Obama, aspirant à la Maison blanche !
